Challenging, but stunning
A tough first mile up Merchant's Hill, but then a pleasant run around Fancy's Farm, the prison and top of Portland, with beautiful views of the coast

I bloody loved this event, scenery & atmosphere was amazing. A great adventure around the Isle. My first time doing it & I will definitely be back!
Challenging but fun. It massively helped that the sun was shining.
Very well organised, not too busy & it was just a really amazing experience.
Thank you Bustinskin events, I LOVED it!!!
Rachael Jenkins
great opportunity to try a first half

Feel like i’ve defeated a mountain! beautiful views and so much kindness and fun - thank you!!!
So well run. Thank you! Such lovely enthusiasm and help on the route. One or two places where direction wasn't easy but in all very clear to follow and take part and take away great memories. Lovely fellow runners being kind and cheery. Thank you so much.

I may be biased but……
I love Portland. I will run on the island as often as I can. But running an event on the island with BUSTINSKINS makes it a little more special. The organisation and support is always spot on. Yes this event is a fought but if you survive Portland Coastal whatever distance you choose you will survive any event.

Amazing organisation.
Fantastic day, great team and the best banter. Thankyou.

My first 10k and.:::..
The 1st mile or so was absolutely brutal, certainly changes the girls from the women and the boys from the men
Nicholas Kirton
Genuinely cannot fault the organisation, briefing and all the people involved.
Will try the 1/2 next year for an even better look around the area.
Mark Earnshaw
Still here doing it. What does that say

A Great run, for all abilities, the hill is a bit of a challenge ☺️
From start to finish you felt comfortable and confident. Very well set up and organised. Easy to follow instructions and directions.
A challenging hill enroute but worth the effort just for the view.
My fist 10km in Portland and I loved it ❤️
Lyn Fox
Great run with a very big hill!
Kelvin Spencer
Brilliant

Good explanation of course. Loved the sweeties, tees, medal and buff!
Fantastic marshals as always!
Red top next year?? Xx
Rosie Smith
Beautiful scenery, make sure you've trained!
I've run the half twice and loved both times. I am a mid-pack ultra runner so am used to long distance, but I feel as a slower runner the 6 hour cut off for the marathon, while do-able, would be a constant worry especially in bad weather, and therefore I've not signed up for the marathon.
The aid stations could be better stocked with proper food, something salty would be good, and the race brief at the start was impossible to hear unfortunately.
But the marshalls were lovely and we were so lucky with the weather, so would definitely recommend.

This was my first ever race. 5*
Everything about the race was first class. The organisation, the atmosphere, the Marshalls were fantastic. Tough scenic course, highly recommended.

Challenging but worthwhile
A great day out, on a hard course. Well marshalled and enjoyable.
My only points for others thinking of doing it-
1. It is treacherous underfoot at points (and the weather was good when I did it) so wear proper trial running shoes
2. It is easy to come off the path at certain points. I would strongly recommend downloading the route to your watch so you can follow along as you. The route is not as obvious as you might think.

8th time that run the marathon so guess I like it
Very hard and six hours always in your head as a challenge, but gets me training in January rather than that dry January nonsense : )
Neil Biles
Stunning scenery, great atmosphere, brilliant marshalls and one hell of a challenge. Thank you. Neil Biles #godsrunningman
From start to finish it was simply wonderful. This year the weather was perfect for one of the most challenging Adventure Marathons around the UK coast. Well organised from start to finish it was just brilliant. I'm seriously considering for next year as it is a mighty challenge every time and 2025 would be my eighth Portland Coastal Marathon. Watch this space. Blessings, Neil Biles #godsrunningman
