At BustinSkin, our Events Team is at the heart of everything we deliver.
BustinSkin delivers professionally organised triathlons, open water swims and endurance events across Dorset and beyond. Behind every event is a dedicated team responsible for transforming months of planning into a safe, seamless and memorable race experience.
From venue coordination and course design to race-day delivery, our Events Team ensures that every athlete — from first-timer to experienced competitor — enjoys a professionally managed event.
Race preparation begins well before the start line.
Event setup typically starts one or two days prior and includes:
Building transition areas and bike racking
Preparing swim, bike and run courses
Installing signage, barriers and branding
Setting up feed stations and finish infrastructure
Preparing registration and athlete check-in areas
Attention to detail at this stage ensures a smooth and professional race day.
On event day, volunteers work across a range of roles, including:
Car park and arrival management
Registration and athlete support
Transition supervision
Course marshals (swim, bike and run)
Medical and first aid support
Timing and results coordination
Communications and commentary
Each role contributes directly to delivering a safe, compliant and high-quality event.
Once the final athlete has crossed the line, the team dismantles the event infrastructure and restores the venue to its original condition.
Professional delivery includes responsible site management and respect for our venues and local communities.
Our volunteers are central to the success of every event.
At most events, volunteers receive:
An event t-shirt
Food and refreshments
Expenses where appropriate
