Terms & Conditions of Entry

By entering an event organised by BustinSkin Events Ltd, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Entry & Eligibility

  • You confirm that all information provided at the time of entry is accurate and complete.

  • You must meet the age and eligibility requirements for the event, as stated on the event page or race brief.

  • The organiser reserves the right to refuse or cancel an entry if false, misleading, or incomplete information is provided.

Assumption of Risk

  • Participation in endurance and outdoor events involves inherent risks.

  • By entering, you confirm that you are medically fit, adequately trained, and responsible for your own safety, equipment, and conduct.

  • The organiser accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage except where required by law and within its legal duty of care.

Event Rules & Safety

  • You must comply with all event rules, marshal instructions, and relevant governing body regulations (e.g. UK Athletics or British Triathlon).

  • The organiser reserves the right to withdraw any participant who is deemed unsafe, unfit to continue, or whose behaviour is dangerous or unsporting.

  • All decisions made by the race director, officials, and event staff are final.

Equipment

  • All equipment must be in safe working condition and meet event and governing body requirements.

  • Failure to comply may result in disqualification or withdrawal from the event.

Course Navigation

  • Some BustinSkin events are designated as self-navigation courses.

  • Where this applies, competitors are responsible for downloading and following the official GPX route file during the event.

  • Courses may not be fully marshalled.

  • Failure to follow the official route may result in disqualification.

  • The organiser accepts no responsibility for competitors who deviate from the course.

Event Changes & Cancellation

  • The organiser reserves the right to amend the event format, course, timings, or schedule where necessary for safety or operational reasons.

  • In the event of cancellation, alteration, or disruption due to weather, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond the organiser’s reasonable control, no refunds will be issued.

Force Majeure

The organiser will not be liable for cancellation, alteration, or disruption caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather or natural disaster

  • Public health emergencies or pandemics

  • Government restrictions or local authority actions

  • Acts of terrorism or civil unrest

  • Transport failure or unavailability of essential personnel or services

Refunds, Deferrals & Transfers

  • Entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable.

  • If you purchased Booking Protect refund protection at the time of entry, any claim must be made directly with the provider in accordance with their terms:

  • If you entered via a third-party entry platform (e.g. Find A Race), any refund request must be made directly with that provider. Their refund protection is administered by XCover:

Entry Transfers

You may transfer your entry to another person via your Eventrac account, subject to the following conditions:

  • Transfers must be completed no later than 14 days before the event, or by the date stated on the event profile page.

  • Transfers are free of charge.

  • The replacement athlete will pay the entry fee at the point of transfer.

  • The original entrant will receive a refund of the original entry fee from the entry system once the replacement athlete has completed payment.

  • Race distance changes (where offered) must be completed within the same timeframe via your Eventrac account.

Withdrawals & Event Items

No registration packs, T-shirts, medals, food, drink, merchandise, or other items associated with an event entry will be issued to competitors who:

  • Withdraw from the event, or

  • Fail to register within the allocated registration times.

Timing Chips

Any timing chip issued remains the property of the organiser. Lost or unreturned timing chips will be charged at £50 per chip.

Media

  • By participating, you consent to being photographed and filmed during the event.

  • Images and footage may be used for promotional, media, and archival purposes.

  • If you do not wish to be featured, you must notify the organiser in writing before the event.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Privacy Policy

BustinSkin Events Ltd is committed to protecting your personal data.

What Data We Collect

We may collect the following personal information:

  • Name

  • Contact details

  • Date of birth

  • Emergency contact details

  • Race results and timing data

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

  • Administer event entries

  • Produce start lists and results

  • Provide safety and medical support

  • Communicate important event information

  • Meet legal, insurance, and regulatory requirements

Data Sharing

Your data may be shared only with organisations essential to delivering the event, including:

  • Timing providers

  • Medical teams

  • Governing bodies (where required)

  • Event partners essential to event delivery

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal requirements.
