Great triathlon start to finish!
I've done this event a few years running and each time it's blessed with good weather.
The sea swim is in the bay and has always been calm in my experience.
There's a short run to the transition (500 meters) so you need a spare set of shoes for this.
The transition itself is really well set up and secured by a LOT of marshalls which is always comforting to know.
The cycle for the middle distance is epic! Great roads and scenery. Not too hilly and some quick quick stretches of road.
If I were to be truly critical a water station on the bike course would help a lot of novice athletes like me have the comfort of knowing you won't run dry on what is a pretty long ride out.
The run is then nice and flat around Lodmoor Country Park.
All in all a great step in to the world of triathlon!

Fantastic organisation, safety and security of bikes and belongings
Lots of marshals to direct, instruct and cheer you on. Very well organised, not too serious so perfect for all including beginners. Today they even provided the perfect weather conditions!!

Bustinskins are the best
Second time I've done this Triathlon and it's such a great atmosphere. All the volunteers are amazing. The organiser is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone beginners or not. The sea was perfect as it was last year, the bike ride had some little hills in it but amazing views and the run is through the park and a nice route.

Excelent for beginners if the sea is how it was this year, but not how it was in 2023. The guy who does the pre race brief is a legend, probably the most entertaining brief you'll get. Marshalls were all great, and I also heard from one of your Marshalls that you treat them excelently throughout the day.
